How it works

You pick the task. The robot does it, every day.

No coding and nothing to install. You choose what the robot will do, keep your passwords in the vault and decide when it works. Then you just keep an eye on it.

100 free runs to try it, no credit card.

Step by step

From the first click to the result in your dashboard.

You set it up once, and the routine keeps going on its own.

Step 1

Pick the routine

Take a ready-made automation from the catalog, or ask for one built around your own process.

  • Each automation shows what it does, what it needs from you and what it delivers.
  • Is your process different? Tell us in the chat and our team will work out how to automate it.
Step 2

Keep the logins in the vault

Your passwords stay protected in your account. The robot uses them only while doing the task.

  • You can change a login whenever you want.
  • Once saved, the password is no longer shown on screen.
Step 3

Choose how it runs

At a set time, from a spreadsheet or straight from your system. Pick what fits the way you work.

  • Scheduled: on the day and time you choose.
  • Spreadsheet: one task for each row.
  • From your system: it asks and the robot does it, with no one clicking.
Step 4

Follow along and get the result

The result stays in your dashboard, ready to download. It can also go to your email or your own system.

  • Your dashboard shows how many tasks the robot did each day, and how many stopped.
  • If your system is integrated, it gets a notice when a task fails.

When it works

Three ways to put the robot to work.

Whichever way you choose, billing works the same way: per run.

Scheduled

At the time you choose

Every day, every week or at the end of the month. The robot works at the set time, including overnight and on weekends.

Example: every Monday at 7 a.m., download the company's tax clearance certificates.

Spreadsheet

A whole list at once

You upload a spreadsheet and the robot does one task for each row, so you don't repeat anything.

Example: a list of company tax IDs (CNPJ) to check the registration status of each one.

From your system

No clicks needed

Your management system or online store asks, and the robot does it. Whoever handles the technical side at your company will find the step-by-step guide in our documentation.

Example: order approved in the store, entered in the system.

When something goes wrong

A robot that doesn't give up easily.

Sometimes the website on the other end is down or too slow to respond. When the problem is temporary, the robot tries again on its own: up to 3 more attempts, at intervals of 30 minutes, 1 hour and an hour and a half.

If it still doesn't work, the task ends in an error, shows up in your dashboard's count of stopped tasks and does not count against your plan.

Robot log· Enter the order from email
  1. Order 4812 received by email
  2. Management system down
  3. New attempt: the system still did not respond
  4. New attempt: order entered in the system
Illustrative example.

Nothing to install

The robots work in our cloud, not on your computer.

You set everything up and follow it in your browser, wherever you are. No machine to leave running, no software to install.

If, for security reasons, your company prefers to keep everything in-house, the robot can also work on one of your own computers. Talk to us in the chat.

Glossary

The words you will see around here.

Trigger
The "when this happens". It is what starts the routine: a scheduled time, an uploaded spreadsheet or a request from your system.
Routine
The sequence of steps the robot follows, from start to finish. You may also see it called a flow.
Run
BotHub charges per run. Each task the robot does counts as one run. The more you use, the lower the price of each one.
Vault
The protected place where the passwords the robot uses to sign in to your systems are kept.
Custom automation
An automation our team builds for a process only your company has. We build it, test it with you and adjust it whenever a system changes.
Dashboard
Your account area, where you set up routines, follow the robot's work and download the results.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Catalog automations come ready to use: you fill in the requested details, keep the passwords in the vault and choose when the robot works. For processes of your own, our team builds a custom automation.

Do I need to install anything?

No. You use everything in your browser, and the robots work in the BotHub cloud. You don't need to leave a computer on.

Does the robot do the task right away?

It is not instant: the result usually comes within the next hour. For tasks with a deadline, schedule them with time to spare. If your company needs things done faster, you can have robots dedicated to it, priced on request.

What if the site the robot uses changes?

Third-party sites and systems can change without notice, and the automation may then need adjusting. If the problem is temporary, like the site being down, the robot tries again on its own, up to 3 times. If it still does not work, the task ends in an error and does not count against your plan.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. When you create your account and confirm your email, you get 100 free runs, no card needed. Like it? Choose a plan based on how many runs you need each month.

Who is responsible for what the robot does?

The robot does the task the way it was set up, with the data you provide. The decisions and obligations of each task stay with your company, and you can follow the results in your dashboard.
